Description

Softness, graphics and lightness symbolise the bespoke panoramic wallpaper Les trois antilopes. This trompe-l'oeil represents a plaster bas-relief on which three slender antelopes gallop in the savannah, among trees, vegetation and flowers. This off-white monochrome in the Art Deco style is refined, a true piece of art.

The tale of African oral tradition, The three antelopes tells the creation of their herd. Initially composed of two females, the herd could not grow. Following their incessant complaints, the Spirit of the Waters promised to transform the first animal that would come to drink in the fountain into male antelope. A man and his son arrived at the fountain. The latter, thirsty, went to quench his thirst immediately. He turned into an antelope under the gaze of his father who said to him: ""Alas, my son! If you meet men, run away. If you come across elephants, save yourself. But if you see the antelopes, join them."" This is how antelopes were able to breed.
