Description
All the elegance and refinement of Art Deco come together in the sumptuous pattern of the Ammonis Gold wall decor. Ammonis, fossils of ammonites, molluscs that disappeared 65 million years ago, reveal a splendid spiral shell reminiscent of a ram's horn. The soft curves of this pattern reveal a play of geometry and colour in beige, the light wood of the marquetry and brown. The golden metallic sheen of the paper appears on the grooves of the wood and on the lines of the design that structure the shells, as if to emphasise the geometric rigour of the pattern. The shells, hand-painted in a beige with a pearlescent effect, look all the more precious for it.
